Welcome to Ellis!  

The mission of the Evolution Team is to welcome you and help you get used to a new country and school all while helping you to open doors to the future that you want.  The first two years at Ellis are a time of transition (new language, new school, a new  country) and the Evolution team is here to accompany you through it!  

The team works with students in the first two years to learn English as well as learning different subjects (English, Art, Math, Social Studies, Science.)  Not only will your English get better, but you will work on the skills you need to participate in  society, college and careers. 

By the end of your first two years of Ellis, you will have: 

• completed 1-3 Capstones (graduation requirements), 

• have taken at least one Regents (NYS graduation requirement,) 

• grown as a student of English and feel more confidence

Not only will you feel like you belong at a school made just for you (Ellis)-  but you will also feel more confident about your place in the world.  In no small part because of your rich experiences, you will feel comfortable embracing new opportunities in the future.
